Alibaba earmarks RMB 100 mln for staff training
Alibaba.com Ltd, the runner of China's largest business-to-business online platform said yesterday that it plans to recruit 2,000 salespersons and will spend RMB 100 million on training.
According to Alibaba's recruitment plan, it will hold about 180 particular interviews in China's major cities, among which, the job vacancies for Beijing will be over one hundred aiming to boost its market share in northeast China.
The B2B giant plans spend seven months on personnel training. The new staff will become formal employees as long as they successfully strike a deal during the period.
The recruitment aims to promote services and add more clients to its online platform, the company said.
By the end of the first half of last year, the Hong Kong-listed company generated RMB 958 million in profits, nearly doubled that of 2006 and has about 5,000 employees in the mainland.
It dominated 67% of online business-to-business trading in the third quarter last year, according to Analysts International.
